Dr. Johnson is a professor of psychology at the University of California Berkeley, where she directs the Cal Mania (Calm) Program and teaches courses on psychological disorders. She has conducted research on psychological facets of bipolar disorder over the past twenty years. Her work has been funded by the National Alliance for Research on Schizophrenia and Depression, the National Institute of Mental Health, the National Science Foundation, and the National Cancer Institute.
